Completing an athlete's profile is the crucial first step after adding them to College Pipe. This profile is what coaches will see. Here’s how to work on it:
Access the Athlete's Profile: Click to select the desired athlete you want to work with from your list (e.g., John Doe). This will take you to their profile page.
Explore Profile Sharing Options:
Note the public link for the profile that you can easily share across various platforms (X, Instagram, WhatsApp, email, etc.).
Find the option to download the profile as a PDF. You can choose different styles, and the PDF includes a QR code, useful for sharing at showcases.
Add Contact and Basic Information:
Use the plus (+) icon to add contact information for parents, additional coaches, etc.
Add the athlete's phone number.
You can also change the email address if needed.
Upload Visuals - Videos and Pictures:
Add one or multiple recruiting videos by copying and pasting links from platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, Huddle, Flux, Leo, or Google Drive.
Add relevant pictures to the profile.
Crucially, add a profile picture. Profiles with a picture receive significantly more views from coaches.
Include Key Details on the Right-Hand Side:
Add information like FAFSA qualifier status.
Add links to all relevant social media profiles; these will typically be displayed prominently.
Detail Academic Information:
Enter academic details such as GPA and SAT scores.
Use the star icon next to important academic achievements (like a high GPA or SAT score) and select "number one" to highlight them prominently at the top of the profile for coaches to see immediately.
In the "Resources" section, add academic documents like transcripts or score reports. Name the document and add a URL (ideally from Google Drive or similar) to the file.
Enter Athletic Information:
Add fundamental athletic stats like height and weight.
Include personal bests and athletic metrics (e.g., 10-yard dash, 40-yard dash, 1-mile time).
Very important: For athletic stats, add a verification link so coaches can confirm the information.
Enter information about the athlete's team this season. Add their position (this will appear right below their name). You can also add season records and a team schedule with a link, making it visible to coaches by adding the URL.
Add season stats for each season, ensuring any verifiable statistics are included.
If the athlete is attending any showcases, you can showcase information on the profile.
Write the About/Achievement Section: Use this section for you, as the recruiting expert, or the athlete to write a personal introduction, achievements, or details about themselves for coaches.
Completing this comprehensive profile is typically the first major task for you and your athlete in College Pipe, setting the stage for creating university lists and contacting coaches.
