When you first log in to College Pipe, you are required to select a default sport and gender. This is a small but crucial step that streamlines your entire workflow.
By setting this default, the system anticipates what you are looking for. Whenever you open a university profile to view its details, the database will automatically default to showing you the athletic and academic information specific to your selected sport and gender. This saves you from having to manually filter or select the sport every time you research a new school.
If you ever need to adjust this—for example, if you manage athletes across multiple sports—you can change your default sport and gender at any time by accessing your settings in the top right corner of your screen.
With the introduction of our streamlined left-side navigation bar, getting around College Pipe is faster than ever.
Locking the Sidebar For maximum efficiency, you can choose to lock the left sidebar. This ensures your main navigation menu stays permanently visible on your screen, allowing you to jump between different modules of the platform without needing to reopen the menu.
Universal Search (Ctrl + K) You no longer need to click through multiple menus to find what you are looking for. Simply use the Universal Search by pressing Ctrl + K on your keyboard to find an athlete, university, or staff member instantly.
We’ve completely changed how you interact with your roster to save you clicks and time.
How to Select an Athlete You have multiple convenient ways to select an athlete to work on:
Click the athlete selector directly at the top of your screen.
Navigate to the Athletes/Students list and click on their name.
Click the "Three-Dot" menu next to their name in any list and jump directly to a specific destination (like their Recruiting Board).
Unified Tabs & Contextual Navigation You no longer have to "jump" in and out of individual athlete accounts. You will always know who you are working on, as the currently selected athlete is prominently displayed at the top of your screen.
Once an athlete is selected at the top, your navigation becomes contextual. Clicking through the main menu (such as University Database, Recruiting Board, or Task Overview) will keep you locked into that specific athlete's customized view.
Returning to the Company-Wide Overview If you want to view your entire roster at a glance, simply remove the athlete's name from the top selection bar. The system will instantly default back to a high-level overview, showing you the general University Database or the unified Recruiting Board for all your athletes at once.
The Omnipresent "Three-Dot" Power Menu The "Three-Dot" menu is available everywhere—in your athlete lists, on the recruiting board, and in recruiting insights. Clicking it opens a highly important quick-navigation panel that allows you to jump anywhere, from anywhere. It is split into two critical sections:
Navigation: Instantly jump to the athlete's specific Profile, Recruiting Process Overview, Task List, Mail, University Database, Recruiting Board, or Recruiting Insights.
Action: Take immediate actions for that athlete, such as grabbing their shareable Public Profile link, triggering an Export to PDF, or using the View As Athlete feature to see exactly what they see when they log in..
Whether you are searching the University Database or managing your Recruiting Board, you will likely find yourself using the same filter combinations repeatedly. College Pipe allows you to save these default filters so your favorite views are ready the exact moment you log in.
How Default Filters Work:
Your Personal Defaults: Once you have applied your preferred filters (such as specific divisions, regions, or athletic levels), you can save that exact configuration as your personal default. The next time you navigate to that section, your list will already be perfectly tailored to your needs.
Athlete-Specific Filters: Please note that saved default filters are tied directly to your user account. While you can save a filter configuration to streamline your own workflow when managing a specific athlete's profile, this filter will not alter the athlete's personal dashboard. When your athletes log in to their own accounts, they will need to apply and save their own preferred default filters to narrow down their University Database and Recruiting Board.
